December 4, 1979 - ) December 31, 1979 ) DECISION AND PERMIT This matter came on for public hearing on November 30, 1979 at 2:30 p.m. at the Routt County Courthouse, Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Hearing officer was Barbara C. Welles, Assistant to the Executive Director for weather modification, Colorado Department of Natural Resources. The proceedi~gs were recorded by electronic recording equipment and are available for review or transcription upon request. The hearing officer ~as assisted at the hearing by the following members of the Weather Modification Advisory Committee: Dr. Barbara C. Farhar Dr. G. Brant Foote Mr. Guy Mock Colorado State University, herein referred to as the Applicant, was represented by Mr. Vernon C. Leverson, Ft. Collins. Colorado. The Applicant called the following witness Mr. Donald R. Cobb, Ft. Collins, Colorado Testimony was offered by persons in attendance of said hearing on both sides of the application. FINDINGS OF FACT L The Findings of Fact were predicated upon the carefull.review and considera- tion of the following: a. The original Application for Permit for Weather Modification Activities, Form WM2, dated October 2, 1979 with an attached map b. A tape recording of the hearing conducted in Steamboat Springs, November 30, 1979 c. Comments, written and oral, from citizens expressing an interest in this Application d. Advice, comments, and recommendations of the Weather Modification Advisory Committee tendered to the Executive Director on November 30, 1979 as well as comments .subsequent to that date e. Weather Modification Act of 1972, Article 20, Title 36, CRS 1973 2. The prepared program is under the sponsorship of the National Science Foundation.
