<br />. . <br /> <br />SECTION I <br />CONTRACT CLAUSES <br />COST REIMBURSEMENT <br /> <br />1-1 AUTHORITY <br /> <br />1-1.1 52.202-1 DEFINITIONS (APR 1984) <br /> <br />(a) "Hearl of the agency" (also called "agency hei!ldlt) or "Secreteryll means the Secretary (or <br />Attorney General, Administrator, Governor, Chairperson, or other chief official, as appropriate) <br />of the agency, including any deputy or assistant chlef official of the agency, and, in the <br />Department of Defense, the Under Secretary and any Asslstant Secretary of the Departments of the <br />Army, Nevy, and Air Force and the Director and Deputy Director of Defense agencies; and the term <br />"authorlzed represen't8'tivell means any person, persons, or board (other than the Contracting <br />Officer) authorfzed to act for the head of the agency or Secretary. <br /> <br />(b) "Contracting Officer-II means a person with 'the ~uthorlty TO enter into, adminiSTer. and/or <br />termlna'te contracts and make related determinations and findings. The term Includes certain <br />~uthorlzed representa-tlves of the Contracting OffIcer acting within the IJmlTs of 'their authority <br />as delegated by the Contracting Ottlcer. <br /> <br />(cl Except as otherwise provided In this contract, the term f1subcontractsl1 Includes, bUT Is not <br />limited to, purchase orders and changes and modifications TO purchase orders under this contract. <br /> <br />1-1.2 AUTHORITIES AND LIMITATIONS--RECLAMATION (APR 1984) <br /> <br />(a) Authority to modify this contract on behalf of the Government Is expressly limited TO <br />authorized persons (see 48 CFR 43.102) who are properly designaTed as Contracting Officers in <br />accordance with 48 CFR 1.6 and 48 CFR 1401.6. <br /> <br />(b) Authority of the Contracting Officer's Technical representative. properly appointed as such <br />In accordance with 48 CFR 1401.670.
