UT 84106 , <br /> <br />Re: Permit No. 91-4 <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Griffith: <br /> <br />This will acknowledge receipt of your letter dated February <br />28. 1991. requesting a renewal of Weather Modification Permit No. <br />90-2. which permit was for operations intended to augment natural <br />precipitation on Grand Mesa. Permit 90-2 was granted on February <br />20. 1990. for the period Fehruary 20 through May 31. 1990. with <br />conditional approval for future year's operations from December 1 <br />through May 31 of 1990-91. 1991-92. 1992-3. and 1993-4. <br /> <br />Your request for renewal of this permit is being acted upon by <br />me pursuant to the delegation of authority which the Executive <br />Director of the Department of Natural Resources has made to me to <br />perform his duties and powers in carrying out the provisions of <br />the Weather Modification Act of 1972 (article 20 of title 36. <br />CRS) . <br /> <br />Pursuant to section 36-20-114(2). CRS. I am hereby granting <br />the renewal of Weather Modification Permit No. 90-2 for the periOd <br />of March 8. 1991. through May 31. 1991. inclusive. The enclosed <br />renewal. which will be denominated Permit No. 91-4. is subject to <br />the "Terms and Conditions" of Permit No. 90-2. the requirements of <br />the Weather Modification Rules and Regulations dated August 1. <br />1986. and the requirements of article 20 of title 36. CRS. In <br />granting this renewal. I have reviewed and hereby approve of the <br />project's past operational record and I do hereby waive the <br />pUblication of a notice of intent and pUblic hearing requirements <br />for initial issuance of a permit. which waiver is authorized by <br />section 36-20-114(2). CRS. <br /> <br />Before you begin cloudseeding operations. I will need the <br />information called for by paragraph 4. of the "Terms and <br />Conditions" of the permit. Please provide that information to me <br />at your earliest convenience. Also. please be advised that my <br />designee for the purposes of paragraph 9. a of the "Terms and <br />Conditions" of the the permit shall be Mr. William P.
