<br />~ <br /> <br />WEATHER MODIfICATION PERMIT <br /> <br />WY 85--3 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Additional testimony was offered by persons in attendance. <br /> <br />fINDINGS Of fACT <br /> <br />The following findings of fact are based on: <br /> <br />a. Application (with attached map) for an original Permit for <br />Weather Modification Activities (form WM2) dated September 27, <br />1984. <br /> <br />b. Statements at the pUblic meeting conducted in Steamboat Springs on <br />November 13, 1984. <br /> <br />c. Written and oral comments, by citizens expressing an interest In <br />this application. <br /> <br />d. Advice, comments, and recommendations by the Weather Modification <br />Advisory Committee. <br /> <br />e. Weather Modification Act of 1972, Article 20, Title 3&, C.R.S. <br /> <br />f. Weather Modification Rules and Regulations dated <br />September 12, 1973. <br /> <br />1. The project Is directed by Professor Lewis O. Grant and Robert M. <br />Rauber, both of Colorado State University, who hold current Colorado Weather <br />Modification licenses. <br /> <br />2, The project is Intended to document and define natural and modified <br />physical processes that occur In Rocky Mountain orographic clouds. <br /> <br />3. The applicable permit fee is $100.00. <br /> <br />4. As an agency of the State of Colorado, the Applicant is not required to <br />furnish proof of financial responsibility. <br /> <br />5. The operational plan for the project meets the requirements of <br />C.R.S. S 3&-20-112(1)(d) and is incorporated into these findings by <br />reference. <br /> <br />&. The Applicant has met the requirements of the Weather Modification Act <br />regarding publication. <br /> <br />7. The project can be reasonably expected to benefit people In the <br />designated research area and benefit the people of the State of Colorado. <br /> <br />8. The project Is scientifically and technically feasible and Is designed <br />to and offers promise of expanding the technology of weather modification. <br />
