<br />WEATHER MODIFICATION PERMIT <br /> <br />WY 85~ <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />6. Generators authorized to be used are described in Attachment 8. <br />Applicant also shall provide the Executive Director a description Df the <br />location of each generator, with reference to roads, buildings, or other <br />physical landmarks. Any change in location or number of generators must <br />be with the approval of the Department of Natural Resources. <br /> <br />7. Applicant shall suspend seeding operations if snDW moisture content <br />at selected snow CDurse sites, identified by the Department of Natural <br />Resources and the Contractor, reaches one or more of the following: <br /> <br />a. 150% of snowpack average during the months of November, <br />December, or January; <br /> <br />b. 140% of February snowpack average during the month of February; <br /> <br />c. 135% Df March snowpack average during the month of March. <br /> <br />Average snowpack for determining suspension will be calculated by <br />averaging snowpack readings for water content from representative snow <br />course and SNOfEL sites in the project area as calculated by the Soil <br />Conservation Service SnDw Survey Unit. <br /> <br />8. Applicant shall suspend seeding operations if: <br /> <br />a. Weather forecasts or actual storms produce unusually heavy <br />precipitation that could contribute tD avalanches or severe <br />weather conditions in the project area; <br /> <br />b. The ColoradD Avalanche Information Center issues an avalanche <br />forecast warning in the project area; <br /> <br />c. The Executive Director orders suspension of seeding. <br /> <br />9. Applicant shall consult with the Colorado Avalanche Information <br />Center prior to seeding and inform the Colorado State Highway Patrol <br />(Denver Dispatch Office) when seeding occurs. <br /> <br />10. Applicant shall submit reports on cloud seeding activity: <br /> <br />a. Copies of form WM3 - indicating all generator operations and <br />the intended results bi-weekly: <br /> <br />to the Department of Natural Resources <br />
