., TERMS AND CONDITIONS This permit is limited by and subject to fue following terms and conditions: 1. The project must be carried out in conformity with the operational plan attached hereto as Exhibit A. 2. The project target areas shall include portions of Township 41 North, Ranges 7 and 9 East, New Mexico Principal Meridian (NMPM) as listed below, all located in the South central part of Saguache County, Colo.~ado (s~emap ~:Exhibit A).: Southeast \4 of Section 4, T41N, R1E, NMPM South 'h of Section 25, T41N, R7E, NMPM Northeast \4 of Section 36, T41N, R7E, NMPM Sections 3 and 10, T41N, R9E, NMPM Due to elliptical distortions from prevailing winds, the areas reasonably expected to be affected by the project are those envelope areas within a 1,000 meter (3,280 foot) radius of each hail cannOD. 3. Not more than five (5) ground based hail cannons shall be used. The hail cannons shall be installed at the following fixed locations: 1. NW\4 SE\4 of Section 4, T41N, R7E, NMPM 2. SE\4 SW\4 of Section 25, T41N, R7E, NMPM 3. NW\4 NE\4 of Section 36, T41N, R7E, NMPM 4. NE\4 NW\4 of Section 3, T41N, R9E, NMPM 5. SE\4 SW\4 of Section 3, T41N, R9E, NMPM Any subsequent change in the number or location of hail cannons shall require the prior written approval of the Director. 4. The operation will be conducted only under conditions when use of a hail cannon is likely to be beneficial in the target area. 5. The permittee shall install the following sound protection measures intended to mitigate the effects of excessive sound at residential locations: A. If a residence is within 'h mile of the location of a cannon, the cannon shall be placed in a recessed, concrete lined conical depression, approximately 5 feet deep and surrounded by a sound barrier at least 16 feet high. The sound barrier may be constructed of straw or hay bales at least 4 feet wide. 2
