weather conditions at the site. Remarks on generator operating

status and solution reserves will be included in the generator log.

This information will be entered on pre-printed forms and mailed to

Colorado State University at the end of each seeding period.

The cloud seeding pilot will prepare a flight report form for

each flight. In addition to flight logistics and meteorological data

specified for research, the following seeding information will be

recorded:

Seeding Start and Ending Times

Number of Flares Dispersed

Seeding Track and Altitude

These flight report forms will be submitted to esu after each

seeding event.

d. Any Expected Effects upon the Environment Resulting from the
Proposed Project and the Methods of Determining and Evaluating
These Effects

1. Expected Effects on the Environment

The amount of seeding for the proposed research will be on an

extremely limited basis. eloud seeding will be performed on a

variety of days, a few of which will be favorable for increasing

precipitation. Many, if not most, will be conducted on days during

which no substantial change in precipitation would be anticipated.

Because of these factors, the net change in precipitation over the

period is expected to be near zero. In any case, because of the

limited amount of seeding, the expected change in precipitation will

be well within climatological variances and should have little

effect on the environment.
