Application (with attached map) for an original Permit for <br />Weather.Modification Activities (Form WM;>) dated <br />November 9, 1984. <br /> <br />b. Statements at the public meeting conducte.d in Grand .Junction on <br />December 14, 1984. <br /> <br />c. Written and oral comments, by cit.jzens expressing an interest in <br />this application. <br /> <br />d. Advice, comments. and recommendations by the Weather Nodification <br />Advi sory Committee. <br /> <br />e. Weather .Modification Act of 1972, Article 20. Title 36, CR.S. <br /> <br />f. Weather ModifIcation Rules and Regulations dated <br />September 12. 1973. <br /> <br />1. The project Is dIrected by Or. Geoffrey E. Hill and Brad Miller of Utah <br />Water ReSf,arch Laboratory, Utah state University. Both hold current <br />Colorado weather modification licenses. <br /> <br />2. The project is Intended to provide knm.Jledge of predpltation amounts <br />that can be induced artifIcIally. <br /> <br />3. The applicable permit fee is $.100;00. <br /> <br />4. The Applicant has furnIshed proof of financial responsibllity by means <br />of a prepaId liabIlIty insurance policy for $1 million. <br /> <br />5. Theoperatlonal plan for the project meets the requirements of <br />C.R.S. S 3&-20-112(1)(d) and is Incorporated Into these findings by <br />reference. <br /> <br />6. The Appl icant has met the publ ication requi rements of the Weather <br />Modification Act. <br /> <br />L The project can be reasonably expected to benefit the people of the <br />state of Colorado. <br /> <br />8. The project appears to be feasible scientifIcally and technically and 1s <br />desIgned to and offers prom'se of expand1ng the technology of weather <br />modificatIon. <br />
