<br />WEATHER MOOIFICATION PERMIT <br /> <br />WY 86-5 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />FINDINGS OF FACT <br /> <br />The following Findings of Fact are based on: <br /> <br />a. Original application for Colorado permit for weather <br />modification - February 20, 1984. <br /> <br />b. Application for Colorado Permit for Weather Modification <br />Activities, Form WM2, dated February 26, 1986. <br /> <br />c. Statements at the public meeting conducted in Holly, <br />Colorado on March 21, 1984. <br /> <br />d. Comments, written and oral, from citizens expressing an <br />interest in this Application. <br /> <br />e. Advice, comments, and recommendations of the Colorado <br />Weather Modification Advisory Committee. <br /> <br />f. Kansas permit to engage in weather modification activities <br />in the State of Kansas dated April 11, 1986. <br /> <br />g. Weather Modification Act of 1912, Article 20, Title 36, <br />C.R.S. <br /> <br />h. Weather Modification Rules and Regulations dated September <br />12, 1913. <br /> <br />1. The project is under the sponsorship of parties listed in <br />Attachment A. <br /> <br />2. The project will use four aircraft. <br /> <br />3. The project intends to augment rain and suppress hail to <br />benefit agriculture. <br /> <br />4. The applicable permit fee is $100.00. A 2% fee on the contract <br />amount for. work conducted under this permit will not be charged because <br />no impact from the project is anticipated in Colorado. <br /> <br />5. <br />lIablllty <br />effect i ve <br /> <br />Proof of financial responsibility, by means of a prepaid <br />insurance policy is required for this permit to become <br />and has been submitted in the amount of $1,000,000. <br />
