JUNE 22nd - OPERATIONAL DAY *29: Late in the afternoon severe storm
cells propagated into northern Wallace County from other severe
storms to its north; all planes were scrambled between 5:45 and
5:52 p.m. Seeding began in northern Wallace at 6:17 p,m.; a second
'joined at 6:20 p,m., and two more at 6:24 p.m. Simultaneously, a
new line of storms. was approaching Stanton county from Colorado and
a plane was sent to it beginning seeding in ,southwestern Stanton at
6:25 p.m. As the storms in Wallace moved northeasterly out of the
county, seeding was moved further south to meet a detached cluster
of storms across Greeley and Hamilton counties, Eventually, one
large NNE-SSW line of storms extended across the target area and,
subsequerttly, moved easterly through it. The cloud top plane began
its seeding in Stanton at 7:02 p.m. and cloud base seeding emphasis
also shifted to Stanton County with seeding beginning at 7:20 p.m.
Two more planes were in Stanton ,at 7:26 and 7:28 p.m, which worked
,into Stevens County as the line movedeastward.:Anot, her plane
assisted at 7:58 p.m.' Some seeding was alsoperfOl:medinsoiithern
Hamilton. By 9 p.m. the cloud top plane had to return to Dodge City
for dry ice. Seeding at cloud base continued along and ahead of
the line as it passed over parts of Grant, Kearny, WiChita, Scott,
Finney, Haskell, Gray and Lane counties, Seeding continued until
t.hey running out of seeding agent or fuel. By 10: 15 p.m. storms
were much weaker and some rain stimulation was done in Gray Count.y
until 10:23 p,m, at which time all flights were terminated.

JUNE 23rd - OPERATIONAL DAY *30: By late afternoon a cold front had
moved near the extreme southeast part of the target area and st.orms
began forming along aNE-SW oriented line with SOme back-building
into the target area; Initially, the cloud top plane and two cloud
base planes were scrambled as a precaution. However, by the time
the first plane arrived in southeast Ford County at 6:22 p.m. hail
suppression seeding was needed near Bucklin. The second plane was
also seeding on the storm at. 6:27 p.m. The cloud top plane began
at 7:19p.m. The other three cloud base planes scrambled: one at.
6:35 and two at 6:37 p~m, They were all sent to southeast Ford
County and began seeding at 7:25,7:34 and 7:35 p.m., respectively.
At. 7: 55 p, m. all seeding ended when updrafts diminished to nil. The
cloud t09 plane continued to patrol for a few minutes longer and,
t.hrE!~ planes L were ,$ent,to ,Dodge City to standby. T'wo others were
sent home. NO further seeding was needed thereafter,

JUNE 24th - OPERATIONAL DAY *31 : After dawn, new storms eventually
formed and built quickly into a N-S line across t.he eastern portion
of the target area from scott County southward across Finney and
Gray. As time progressed, the line filled in and moved easterly
with individual cells moving more northeasterly. Three ~loud base
planes were scrambled at 6:30, 6:42 and 6:46 a.m. Seeding for hail
began at cloud base in southeastern Scott County at 6:57 a.m. A
second plane was assisting by 7:19 a.m.; the third at 7:25 a.m.
Other planes were scrambled and the last two base seeders began
seeding at 7:57 and B:05 a.m.---seeding was across Scott, Lane,
Finney and Gray counties. The cloud top plane was scrambled at 9:37
a:m. and seeding at 10:23 a.m. in eastern Ford. Eventually, as the
lLne of storms moved eastward, the seeding aircraft moved into Ford
