KS 67871 <br /> <br />Re: Permit Renewal No. 89-2 <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Lebbin: <br /> <br />This will acknowledge receipt of your letter dated February <br />21. 1989. requesting a renewal of Weather MOdification Permit <br />No. 84-3. which permit is for operations intended to augment <br />natural rainfall and to suppress hail in certain southwestern <br />Kansas counties. This permit was granted on March 27. 1984. by <br />the Executive Director of the Colorado Department of Natural <br />Resources for the period April 15-September 15. 1984. <br /> <br />This permit was twice renewed by the Executive Director for <br />the periods April 22 - September 15. 1985. and April 15 - <br />September 15. 1986. A third renewal of this permit for the <br />periOd April 15 - September 15. 1988. was acted upon by me <br />pursuant to the delegation of authority which the Executive <br />Director of the Department of Natural Resources has made to me <br />to perform his duties and powers in carrying out the provisions <br />of the Weather Modification Act of 1972 (Article 20 of Title <br />36. CRS). I am again acting on the present request on behalf <br />of the Executive Director. <br /> <br />Pursuant to Section 36-20-114 (2). CRS. I am hereby <br />granting a renewal of Weather Modification Permit No. 84-3 for <br />the periOd May 1 - September 15. 1989. inclusive. This <br />renewal, whiCh shall be denominated Permit Renewal No. 89-2, is <br />subject to the "Terms and Conditions" of Permit No. 84-3, the <br />requirements of the weather modification rules and regulations <br />dated August 1. 1986 (2 CCR 401-1), and the requirements of <br />Article 20 of Title 36. CRS; except that the radar reflectivity <br />criteria set forth in Attachment B to Permit No. 84-3 shall be <br />changed from "30-dbz" to "45 dbz" and the seeding rate for hail <br />suppression for dry ice shall be changed from ".4536 Kg per <br />min." to "2.27 Kg per minute".
