.

.

The early portion of the 1986-87 winter started out about normal and then
became drier than normal into the early part of 1987 as most of the major
storms came into the southern Colorado mountains, When the seeding
, program was allowed to begin operations in mid-February, 1987, a
somewhat drier than normal weather pattern continued over the north and
central Colorado mountains, March weather returned to a more normal
pattern of storm frequency and snow amounts, This weather pattern
continued into April.

.

During the period February 14, 1987 - April 13, 1987, WESTERN WEATHER
CONSUL TANTS, INC seeded twelve selected weather events covering
portions of eighteen days. The operations for the Central Colorado
Mountains program amounted to 601,22 hours of generator seeding time
which dispensed 4,502,95 grams of silver iodide.

The following table lists the individual seeding events and gives the
number of generators operated, the ski areas seeded, the total number of
seeding hourS, the seeding rate, and the total output of silver iodide in
grams, ThistabJe is followed by a presentation of precipitation events to
seeding events; This presentation is provided for informational purposes
only; noquantltatlvestatlstical evaluation of the seeding effects from
this program will be attempted.

~

:) .
;f:: '<
