Keith Vander Horst. Division of Water Resources. Water Supplv Conditions Update
Mr. Vander Horst stated that as of January 1 the SWSI numbers are positive toward the south
and negative to the north, especially for the Yampa/White. He stated that with the recent
snowfall it is probably better now, and will jump in February. Mr. Vander Horst also said that
the streamflows have been steadily improving since 2002, 2003, and 2004. He commented that
the storage programs and levels in the Arkansas are good this year; however, there is a storage
issue of concern about Lake Powel and Lake Mead levels dropping so low. Mr. Vander Horst
also said we had good precipitation in October and November but not in December 2004.

---The following is a brief water supply conditions update.
