regions will have to go through their local process to see if they qualify to meet the
requirements.

Impact Task Force Reports

Reagan Waskom. CSU Cooperative Extension
Mr. Waskom stated that he had worked with Bob McLeavy on some agriculture issues.
He said that the agriculture impacts last year were in the millions of dollars, and that it
wasn't looking better now. He stated that range conditions continue to be very poor and
that impacts will probably be as bad this year as last.

Joe Lambert. Energy
Mr. Lambert said that there would be enough energy for Colorado this year. He
mentioned that there is a risk that hydro power will be down a small amount and that
Mount Elbert storage facility will be closed for repairs from April to July, but that
providers have assured there will be enough energy despite these issues. Mr. Lambert
also stated that fire is a risk for both electric and gas transmission lines, but that if a
single line went down, power would remain in place for the rest of the state. The price of
natural gas may go up in this region, which would cause higher prices for electric power
starting this year.

Randal Ristau (for Carl Norbeck). Dept of Health
Mr. Ristau stated that the most concerns they see at this time are with the smaller water
systems and trying to provide support for them. He explained that the fmancial support
had been drawn down as well as the water supply, but they have a good team providing
engineering support. They can provide the engineering support quick, but can't provide
the financial support as fast. However, just recently they have continued to provide
funding for two systems to drill wells for their water supply.

Barry Cress. Department of Local Affairs
Mr. Cress has submitted in his report a very important table that indicates the drought and
fire recovery fund available in Colorado. It lists the available streams that can be used
for drought and fire. Mr. Cress explained that his report basically involves four major
areas where water systems saw impacts: insufficient water supply; insufficient water
system revenue, wildfire damages to watersheds, and mechanical projects. He stated
DOLA was able to help out last year with funding of projects and that there are still
projects out there they are trying to initiate along with the Health Department.

Stephanie Delgar. Tourism
Ms. Delgar reported that the tourist industry is looking at the same things they did last
year, but that they are able to prepare better this year because of the known impacts from
last year. She said that all tourism was impacted last year including the skiing, rafting,
golfmg, restaurants, hotels/lodging, and parks, and that they would continue to monitor
everything. The rafting and golfmg industries are working on proactive public outreach
programs. Ms. Delgar said there are crisis drought and wildfire action plans available
