2.2 Projected Cash for :'I'ew Projects in 1997

As a revolving cash fund, the CW'CB Construction Fund has become a reliable source of funding
for water resource development projects and studies each year.

The total amount projected from cash sources in FY 96-97 is S 12.45 million. This includes 56.45
million in returned principal plus interest. 53.20 million from l\.fineral Lease Fund disoiburions, and
52.80 million from interest on the cash balance im'ested by the Colorado Treasurer.

The Board is recommending six projects for deauthorization in fI' 96-97 totaling S 1.43 million.
Unreserved cash at the beginning of the year was 52.66 million. Administrative expenses from the
fund are estimated at 51.10 million. The balance in the Severance Tax Trust Fund Perpetual Base
Account was 53.58 million. Therefore. the unreserved cash available for new projects in 1997 is
estimated to be approximately 519.02 million.
