<br />/ <br /> <br />') <br /> <br />} <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />823 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />December, 1979 <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />BROOK FOREST PROJECT <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />The Brook Forest Water District is located in Jefferson County, <br /> <br />approximately five miles southwest of the Town of Evergreen. At the <br /> <br />present, the equivalent of 211 single family residential units are <br /> <br />served by the district. The district service area encompasses approxi- <br /> <br />.mately 640 acres located in Sections 29, 30 and 31, Township 5 South, <br /> <br />Range 71 West; and Section 36, Township 5 South, Range 72 West, 6th <br /> <br />Principal Meridian. <br /> <br />The entire service area, with the exception of the Brook Forest <br /> <br />Inn, is zoned mountain residential for single families. The residents <br /> <br />of the district commute daily to jobs in the Evergreen and Denver <br /> <br />Metropolitan areas. <br /> <br />Water supply for all of the present residents is obtained from <br /> <br />four wells drilled in fractured bedrock. Water from the wells is <br /> <br />chlorinated as it leaves the pumping facilities and enters the water <br /> <br />distribution system. The yield per well ranges from 0.5 gallons per <br /> <br />minute (gpm) to 25 gpm.
