It is understood that the Division Engineer will issue a cease
and desist order to halt pumping from such a well unless the owner makes arrangements through
AGUA for the purchase of additional replacement water.

AGUA anticipates that as the irrigation season progresses, additional wells will be added to
the plan. As per the plan approval, AGUA will periodically prepare proposed amendments to the
plan identifying the wells to be added, an estimate of the amount each well will pump, an update of
the total stream depletions by reach and month including post-plan year depletions, and
identification of the source of additional replacement water. These wells will be included in the plan
once the amendment(s) are approved by the State.

8. Substitute Water Supply Plans
8.1 Booth Well Association SWSP

AGUA includes in its membership a group of wells located on lands previously irrigated by
the Booth-Orchard Grove Ditch. These wells can be identified in Appendix B and Appendix C as
those having a ditch assignment of "Booth Well Assoc." and a ditch number of 503 (the 500
designating the group as a substitute water supply plan, and the 3 designating the location as being
between Pueblo Reservoir and John Martin Reservoir). The Booth Well Association has their own
replacement water (transmountain water from the Board of Water Works of Pueblo) separate from
AGUA and are covered by their own Substitute Water Supply Plan which is separately approved by
the Division of Water Resources. AGUA will provide administration of the Booth Well Association
SWSp, The Booth-Orchard irrigation wells will be replaced at 76.5 percent of pumping the same as
during the 1996 plan year (except for two wells which are used for domestic purposes and which will
be replaced at 38.75 percent of pumping). The State's groundwater accounting model will be used
to determine the stream depletions due to pumping of Booth wells by including them in user group 2.

G.\3I77 _ 003\REPORTSIAGUA97 _I.RPT

29

PrintedFebruary27,1997
