7.1 What is What if!

Within the context of the SPWRMS application, What If? is a facility for
scenario testing river calls on the South Platte. This modelling capability is
referred to as curtailment and relaxation analysis.

7.2 Assumptions

The Lag/Loss Editor displays the transit loss assumptions within the South
Platte basin and allows the user to edit these figures for use in curtailment
and relaxation analyses. This dialog is reached via the What If? / Assump-
tions menu item.
Modify lag and Loss values for curtailment analysis via the Assumptions Hem in the
What If? menu.

The default laglloss values were established by SEO and can only be modi-
fied in the central database via I nformix. The currentlaglloss values used for
curtailment and relaxation modeling within SPWRMS can be modified by
the user at any time to reflect changing hydrologic conditions within the
basin.
