5.0 The Edit Menu

Delivery Flow column also records releases from reservoirs, transba-
sin sources, treatment plants, and other sources of release water des-
tined for delivery to a specific downstream point.

An example of a delivery would be releases from Duck Lake in the
mountains to the Burlington Ditch headgate.

If a value in the Delivery column consists of deliveries by more than
one user, the multiple users should be identified in the comments col-
umn.

Total Flow

Total Flow is the actual physical flow rate of the river, tributary or
release indicated by the structure in the Structure Name column.

Reolacement Flow

Replacement Flow is water introduced to the river in order to allow
an out-of-priority diversion upstream (usually by exchange but also
through an augmentation plan or substitute supply plan). If daily
records are being kept of the return flow amounts for a transferred
water right, that amount should also be recorded in this column.
Replacement water can either become Natural Flow, Delivery
Flow, or both when it is introduced to the river. Thus, in all situations,
an entry in the Replacement column requires corresponding entries
in the Natural and/or Delivery column.

For example, Union Reservoir water is delivered down the Saint
Vrain to the confluence with the South Plane in order to replace
depletions associated with the Ground Water Appropriators of the
South Plane (GASP) wells. At the confluence a portion of the
replacement water is considered part of the natural stream since it
may be diverted by the next downstream user with an in-priority
water right The remaining portion of Union replacement is consid-
ered a delivery to points further downstream. It is important to realize
that Replacement Flow may only compromise a portion of the total
Natural and Delivery water in the river. In the example above, the
Union water is only a portion of the flow in the Saint Vrain river at its
confluence wi th the Sou th Plane.
Drying the River

The column between the Flow and Diversion columns is the Drying
the River indicator. Any structures diverting the entire flow of the
river should be identified in this column. To identify a structure that
dries the river, use the check box in the Priority Diversions dialog
(described below).
