.

.

.

H.B. 1042
Project Summaries

Bauer Lakes',:
, .,

This reservoir is under restrictive orders from the State
Engineer due to dam safety problems and it therefore cannot be
filled to capacity. The proposed project would rehabilitate the
dam embankment so the the total capacity of the reservoir would
be restored.

Beaver Park

This is the last phase of a three-phase project previously
authorized by the General Assembly. The last phase would improve
the delivery system for Beaver Park, including the restoration of
service to irrigated lands which have previously gone out of
production.

Grandview Siphon

This project calls for the reconstruction of a siphon in the
Grandview system which is now so dilapidated that it fails with
regular frequency, causing the interruption of irrigation water
supplies and the loss of crops. The Department of Corrections
owns a large portion of the water rights in this system and will
therefore be one of the entities assessed for repayment.

Florida Farm Irrigation Project

This project will provide a new delivery system to enable
sprinkler irrigation. The new sprinkler irrigation system will
be much more cost-effective; it will increase irrigation
efficiencies and reduce maintenance and pumping costs
significantly.

Louisville Reservoir

This project will entail the rehabilitation and enlargement
of a reservoir used by the city of Louisville for its muncipal
water supply.

Lone Cone Reservoir

This project calls for the major enlargement of an existing
reservoir to provide an increased water supply of about 4,000
a.f. for irrigated agriculture.

310
att/m/wy
