Some of Colorado's most significant types of events are further <br />described in the following paragraphs, <br /> <br />Earliest Recorded Event <br /> <br />Cherry Creek <br />in Denver <br /> <br />1864 <br /> <br />-, <br /> <br />.-." <br /> <br />- <br />- <br /> <br />;.t <br /> <br />Section II - 4 <br /> <br />On May 19 and 20, <br />1864, heavy rainfall <br />extended over the <br />entire South Platte <br />Basin, from Colorado <br />Springs to Fort <br />Collins. Communities <br />all along the Front <br />Range experienced <br />differing levels of <br />severe flooding, <br />Denver and Fort <br />Collins experienced <br />the most damaging <br />flooding. <br />
