For this <br />reason, the effect of operating decisions on power revenue is a continuing concern. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Treated Water System <br /> <br />The water collection system feeds water to the treated water system which, in turn, must <br />provide high-quality water at appropriate pressures to Denver Water's retail and contract <br />customers. The system must be able to serve the daily and hourly demand variations <br />which are typical of urban service areas. <br /> <br />Treated water facilities owned and operated by Denver Water include: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />., <br /> <br />· 3 treatment plants with a combined production capacity of 645 million gallons per <br />day (mgd); <br />· 17 pump stations with a pumping capacity of 1,100 million gallons per day; <br />· 29 treated water storage reservoirs in 17 locations totaling 381 millions gallons; and <br />· 2,464 miles of pipe, 35,022 valves, and 13,298 hydrants. - <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />General locations of these facilities are shown in Figure III-4.
