The assess- <br />ment shall be levied by resolution of the board of directors <br />and shall be enrolled in a well-bound record to be known as <br />"maintenance fund assessment record," and shall be substantial- <br />ly the form provided for similar records of conservancy dis- <br />tricts under the laws of the st-,ate of Colorado, particularly <br />as provided by section 29-5-7. Assessments so certified shall <br />be levied by the board of county commissioners of the counties <br />in which said subdistrict is situate, on the property of said <br />district in their respective counties, to be collected by the <br />treasurers of the several counties and delivered to the <br />treasurer of the district in like manner and with like effect <br />as is provided for the collection and return of other assess- <br />ments under this article. The whole assessment shall be due <br />and payable as and when taxes for county purposes levied in <br />the same year are due and payable. The said maintenance <br />assessments shall be in addition to any assessments which <br />have been levied against benefits appraised for and on account <br />of construction. (l937). <br /> <br />150-7-25. Definition of terms. - (1) The word "district" <br />as used in this article shall mean "The Colorado River Water <br />Conservation District." <br /> <br />(2) The word "subdivision" as used in this law shall em- <br />brace and include the kind or character of special improve- <br />ment districts created under the provisions of this article, <br />including subdistricts organized under the name and style of <br />"Water Users I' Association No. of the Colorado <br />River Water Conservation District," and "Special Improvement <br />District No. of the Colorado River Water Conserva- <br />tion District." <br /> <br />(3) The words "Colorado river," unless the context other- <br />wise indicates, shall be construed to embrace and include <br />any and all tributaries or streams which flow into the Colo- <br />rado river which may be found in any part of the territory <br />embraced in said district. <br /> <br />(4) The term "property" as used in subsection (1) of sec- <br />tion 150-7-7 shall be deemed and construed to include both <br />real and personal property. In other parts of said article <br />relating to special assessments, unless otherwise specified, <br />it shall be held to mean real estate as the words "real es- <br />tate" are defined by the law of the state of Colorado and <br />
