After the annual workplan has been approved by the Board of Directors, it will be implemented <br />during the following calendar year. Most of the plan will be completed by the water system staff. <br />However, leak detection and repair will be completed by the District's maintenance crew. <br /> <br />The Water System Manager will train all employees that work with customers. This training will <br />provide the employees with the knowledge to answer any customer questions regarding water <br />conservation. <br /> <br /> <br />L Update the Water Conservation Program as needed; implement the 1995 plan; prepare the <br />workplan for 1996. <br /> <br />2, Work closely with the District's ground maintenance personnel, City of Commerce City <br />Parks and Maintenance divisions and the Adams County ground maintenance division to <br />maximize the effectiveness of water conservation by the public entities: (a) review irrigation <br />practices at public facilities, parks and medians to insure efficient water practices are <br />utilized; (b) identify public landscaped areas for Xeriscape upgrade; (c) install and monitor <br />ultra low volume and other water conserving devices in public facilities. <br /> <br />3. Work closely with the City of Commerce City and Adams County to adopt ordinances <br />requiring ultra low volume fixtures in all new construction and remodeling projects. <br /> <br />4. Perform an internal water audit of District facilities, distribution lines and hydrant use to <br />determine how much unaccounted for water the District loses each year. Determine the costs <br />associated with these losses. <br /> <br />5. Evaluate the success of the specific conservation measures implemented. <br /> <br />6. Increase the public's conservation awareness and knowledge through a published brochure <br />and an education program provided to the schools. Encourage public participation. <br /> <br />7. Evaluate the potential impact that revised water block rate structures would have on water <br />conservation and customer satisfaction. <br /> <br />8. Make conservation kits available to the District's customers. These kits will provide <br />customers with ideas of how to conserve water. <br /> <br />9. Provide water audits to residential and commercial customers with the purpose of providing <br />water saving ideas for their home or business. <br /> <br />Conservation Programs <br /> <br />Leak Detection <br /> <br />OBJECTIVES: <br /> <br />.
