j

Water Efficient Industrial and Commercial Processes
The water-related processes of industrial and commercial customers have great
potential for water savings. An audit of the largest customers should be performed at
least biennially by the Water Utility staff. The audit will review items such as:
recirculation of cooling water, reuse of cooling and process water, reuse of treated
wastewater, efficient landscape irrigation, low water using fixtures, and process
modifications. Recommendations should be made to the businesses at no charge to them.
Each audit should take one to two days to complete.

Implementation Schedule
The proposed implementation schedule for the water conservation plan is shown
on the following page. Information is provided on suggested timing and costs of the
programs, evaluation methods and expected water savings.

I

--------- ---------------.,-----~-~------

I
I

City of Brighton.
