LOW-WATER USE LANDSCAPING AND EFFICIENT IRRIGATION <br /> <br />The Board of Directors of the Wheat Ridge Water District has by <br />resolution adopted all ordinances of the City of Wheat Ridge that <br />relate to low water-use landscaping, and the use of native plants. <br /> <br />The Wheat Ridge Water District encourages the planting of low <br />water-use landscape materials in the residential and commercial <br />community as well as the Public Right of Way. <br /> <br />The Wheat Ridge Water District is a member of Metro Water <br />Conservation, Inc. It is a metro wide organization established to <br />help meet the water conservation needs of the Denver Metropolitan <br />area. Members are responsible for the research strategies and <br />program suggestions necessary to help reduce pUblic demand for <br />water. <br /> <br />Xeriscape pamphlets, as well as native plant material guides and <br />other conservation information are available at the office, these <br />are periodically mailed to our customers. <br /> <br />Annual irrigation guidelines ie: Diamond, Square, and Circle <br />watering guidelines are available at the office, customers are <br />encouraged to use them during summer watering. <br /> <br />The City of Wheat Ridge, Code of Laws Sec. 26-32-(Cl) Landscape <br />Area Requirements and Sec. 26-32-(G) Landscaping Requirements shall <br />be the guide for landscaping standards. A complete copy of the <br />applicable ordinances of the City of Wheat Ridge concerning low <br />water used landscaping and efficient irrigation is set out below <br />and incorporated into this plan by reference. <br /> <br />The City of Denver Landscape Design and Maintenance Guidelines for <br />Water Conservation is incorporated into this plan-by reference as <br />Attachment Appendix II. <br /> <br />Sec. 26.32.
