4. WATER REUSE SYSTEMS

The Wheat Ridge Water District does not have the necessary
infrastructure to engage in any reuse system for either potable or
nonpotable water. Moreover, the District does not have adequate
funds available for the major investment of capital which would be
necessary to construct water reuse facilities.

Since the Wheat Ridge Water District is a distributer of finished
water produced by the Denver Water Department and the City of
Arvada, it would be cost prohibitive to pursue such a program on
our own.

At this time the Denver Water Department is conducting a pilot
study on water reuse. The program is being instituted in the
Northeast quadrant of the Denver Water Department's service area
including Denver International Airport.

The Wheat Ridge Sanitation District is a separate Quasi-municipal
entity that handles waste water under a contract with the Metro
Wastewater Reclamation District.

If in the future the Denver Water Department or another agency
develops a project that provides for the economical reuse of water,
the Wheat Ridge Water District will consider participation.
