Appropriation. <br /> <br />In addition to any appropriation <br /> <br />heretofore made for the Olrrent fiscal year, there is hereby <br />appropriated out of any moneys in the state treasury not otheruise <br />appropriated, to the departrrent of natural resources, the sum of three <br /> <br />thousand dollars ($3,000), and for the fiscal year beginning July I, <br />1972, the SlDn of fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000), or 50 much <br />thereof as may be necessary, for the administration and implementation <br />of this act. <br /> <br />'. <br />~ <br />I <br /> <br />SECrION 3. Safety clause. <br /> <br />The general assembly hereby finds, <br /> <br />detemines, and declares that this act is necessary for the immediate, <br /> <br />preservation of the public peace, health, and safety. <br /> <br />STAFF COMMENTS <br /> <br />Section 2. The recommended appropriatiDn is <br />based on the following estimates: <br /> <br />1) Approximate cost of twelve <br />advisory co~mittee meetings <br />and hearings annually (in- <br />cludes mileage, motel, <br />meals, etc.)................... $ 4,700 <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Approximate cost of an esti- <br />mated six public hearings <br />for issuance of permits:....... <br /> <br />2,350 <br /> <br />1,700 <br /> <br />6,250 <br />$15,000 <br /> <br />The $15,000 is the estimated CDst for <br />a full fiscal year., Because the Committee rec- <br />ommends that this act take effect immediately <br />upon its passage, an additional $3,000 is recom- <br />mended for the months of apprDximately April, <br />May, and June of the 1971-72 (current) fiscal <br />year. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />Approximate annual expenses <br />for ,court reporters, hearings <br />officers, etc., if needed...... <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />Annual expenditures covering <br />consulting fees for quali- <br />f~ed experts................... <br />
