SURVEY CONCLUSIONS

The small number of surveys returned, especially for Building 300, limits the usefulness of
the results of this survey. However, some conclusions can be inferred from the results. In
general, the water conserving devices appear to be acceptable to the guests.

Toilet blockage was expressed as a problem in both buildings. From the surveys it is not
possible to know if the blockage problems were due to the nature of the toilets or some other
factor. Faucets drips were found in both buildings and were considered to be acceptable to
unacceptable. The water conserving showerheads were rated more highly than the non-
conserving devices (93% rated 3 or better versus 60%). The surveys do not indicate that
sink faucet aerators were notable in either a positive or negative way. The surveys do
indicate that leaking faucets are considered satisfactory to unacceptable. This suggests that in
addition to retrofits, other water conserving steps can be taken (repair of leaking fixtures),
and would be perceived by guests in a positive manner.

rtr\wp51 \docs\cwcb\sur _res

USER SURVEY

w~ are cODdu~ting.
