The wells are generally constructed at
depths of between seventy and one-hundred feet. The City currently has fourteen
wells which supply water to a domestic distribution system for service throughout the
City. Additionally, the City has several wells which are used in separate irrigation
systems for irrigation of certain parks and open space areas, as well as the City-owned
golf course and cemetery. Table 3 shows the adjudicated well water rights owned by
the City.

Table 3 - Well Water Rights

Well Name

Re Istratlon **
1<8460
1<8461
1<8462
8463f<R18465f<f<
f<8464
1<8466
1<8467
8468f<f<
1<8469
1<8470
2005F
2880F
5493F
18104F
0M5195F
f<111
f<F1046
1<8473
f<F84 72
f<F72
5494F

Water Case **
W5708
W5708
W5708
93C\N172
W5708
W5708
W5708
W5708
W5708
W5708
W5708
W5708
W5708
W5708
95C\N137
W5708
W5708
W5708
W5708
W5708
W7804

Adudlc:ated Water
400
400
450
950
500
400
400
450
425
1.100
1.100
1,100
1,200
600
1.000
225
600
250
1,000
1,000
600
14.150

No.1
No.2
No.3
No.4
No.5
No.7
No.8
No.9
No. 10
No. 11
No. 12
No. 13
No. 14 Chealrs
No. 15 S. Pumping the City wells eventually causes depletions to the
South Platte River system which during time that the wells are out of priority need to be
replaced to protect other water rights in the basin. These City wells are currently part of
the Groundwater Appropriators of the South Platte, or GASP, substitute supply plan
whereby the depletions caused by pumping the wells are replaced with historic

Page19
