<br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />WATER CONSERVATION <br />1994 WORK PROGRAM <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Work towards the reduction in the per capita demand for water by continuing to <br />implement feasible and cost effective water conservation measures. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Update Arvada's Water Conservation Master Plan for 1994; prepare work program for <br />1995. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Continue public awareness efforts of water conservation through seminars, articles, and <br />City-funded programs. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />Work closely with the Park Planning Division, North Jeffco Parks and Recreation <br />Division, and Buildings and Grounds Division to maximize effectiveness of water <br />conservation by the City. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />Use Meter-Master and water billing system to validate permanent water demand <br />reductions and evaluate effectiveness of water conservation measures from programs such <br />as the residential water audit program, ULV rebate program, and water conserving <br />landscape rebate program. <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />Work with Water Billing to try to make water bills more informative to customers about <br />the City's rate structure. <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />Administer residential water audit service contract; contact all water audit participants <br />through a mass mailing for survey purposes and to inform them of City's willingness to <br />service devices installed during the audit until the end of 1994. <br /> <br />8. Develop computer tracking system for City's landscape ordinance program and <br />. - -- --administer prograrrr. -- - -- -- -- - - - -- -- - - -- - - - - - --- - - -- -- -- - -- -- - <br /> <br />9. Continue providing rebates for those who replace existing non-ULV toilets with ULVs. <br /> <br />10. Continue to participate and represent Arvada in metro-wide conservation organizations. <br /> <br />11. Develop computer model for utilization in conducting rate comparisons of other metro- <br />area cities. <br />
