<br />INCENTIVES to IMPLEMENT WATER USE EFFICIENCY TECHNIQUES <br /> <br />Current CWCWD Measures <br />The Central Weld County Water District currently uses the following incentives as water <br />efficient techniques: <br />. Requiring that all water be metered and paid for by the user. <br />. Apply surcharge for water used above base amount or customer to provide additional raw <br />water. <br />. The implementation of Water Shortage Contingency Plan. <br /> <br />Plans for Futnre CWCWD Measures <br />The Central Weld County Water District may provide new incentives for water efficient <br />techniques. The CWCWD plans to continue to: <br />~ Encourage water users to purchase their own raw water rights and assign those rights to their <br />District taps. <br />~ Maintain base water rate use which controls cost. <br />~ Reduce possible rate increase by efficient use of water. <br />~ Allow for limited outside watering. <br /> <br />PROGRAM IMPLEMENTAION <br /> <br />Public Participation <br />The CWCWD will make copies of the Water Conservation Plan available for review and <br />comment from April 1, 2003 to May 1,2003. Notice of the availability of copies ofthe Central <br />Weld County Water District's Water Conservation Plan will be posted and published during the <br />public review period. Comments will be accepted in writing at the CWCWD office from 8:00 <br />a.m. and Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, during the comment period. <br />Comments will also be accepted at the regularly scheduled Board meetings on May 15, 2003. <br />
