WATER RATE STRUCTURES DESIGNED to ENCOURAGE WATER USE

EFFICIENCY

Current CWCWD Measures
The existing Central Weld County Water District water rate structure is based on a declining
block rate with a minimum charge and allocated volume based on the size of the tap. CWCWD
assesses a surcharge of $0.18 per thousand gallons over the set allotment for each tap size. The
water gallonage over the annual allotment may be requested from the customer rather than the
$0.18 per thousand gallons.

Plans for Future CWCWD Measures
The Central Weld County Water District is studying the existing rate structure to promote water
conservation.

REGULATORY MEASURES DESIGNED to ENCOURAGE WATER USE
EFFICIENCY

Current CWCWD Measures
The Central Weld County Water District currently implements the Water Shortage Contingency
Plan adopted by the Board June 20, 2002. The District, if required, adjusts pressures in the
system to limit flow.

Plans for Future CWCWD Measures
The Central Weld County Water District does plan to:
. Monitor water use in relationship to prior year/month's use.
. Notify user of% increase/decrease as an incentive/reward mechanism.
. Enforce water restrictions to the level imposed at that time.
