convertible into color 35mm slides, overheads, or prints for presentation purposes.

The Main Spreadsheet

The main spreadsheet will contain the basic monthly operations model outputs. It will also
contain the variable data, supplied by the user, which is needed by the ancillary modules.
It will feed this information to the ancillary module, which will return specific information
to the main module. The main module will be linked to the ancillary modules such that
when one is updated the remaining ones will automatically be updated as well.

The most important tasks of the main spreadsheet will be:
. to manage model operation,
. to allow for input of water conservation variables,
. to track overall system performance, and
. to manage graphical output.

The user will normally work with data entry screens, menus and graphs which are produced
by the main spreadsheet. When the model is loaded it will show graphic screens which will
allow the user to select various options from a menu. These options are selected by clicking
on the screen with a mouse. Once selected, the option will activate a subroutine which will
ask for specific information, update the model, or display the results.

Surface Water Spreadsheet

The surface water spreadsheet will contain specific information about the surface water
supplies and contract water available to the utility. This information will be provided by the

10
