B. Low water use landscapes and efficient irrigation: (Continued)

result in significant water savings for Pueblo.

Correcting the inappropriate irrigation of Pueblo's Public Parks and Open Spaces is
providing a measurable savings in water. Metered park water usage in the mid and
late 1970's indicated a drastic need for improvement in irrigation practices. In a
study of seven randomly chosen metered parks, water savings after initiation of
irrigation management programs was highly noticeable. Following is the data
associated with these parks which showed the inefficient usage in the early 1970's
and the amounts of water saved by efficient management of the irrigation practices.

Park Name

Studv Yeflrs Avf!.. usaf!.e-~allyr.
