<br />SECTION 1.30 PURPOSE <br /> <br />The purpose of the Water Conservation Plan IS to promote and <br />encourage domestic, commercial, industrial and public facility <br />customers of the Crestview Water and Sanitation District to use <br />water efficiently and to foster conservation of the water of the <br />District, Denver Water and of the State of Colorado. <br /> <br />The Plan is intended to; <br />(A.) Comply with the requirements of the State of Colorado <br />Office of Water Conservation, specifically HB91-1154 as <br />promulgated, <br /> <br />(B.) Remain consistent and in compliance with contractual <br />obligations with Denver Water and Metro Wastewater Reclamation <br />District, <br /> <br />(C.) Meet the needs and desired water conservation results of <br />the citizens and representatives of the District within the <br />framework of the Rules and Regulations of the District and <br />prudent operation of the water distribution system. <br /> <br />SECTION 1.40 FUNDING <br /> <br />The District will provide in the annual budget the necessary funds <br />to implement and maintain the Conservation Plan. <br /> <br />SECTION 2.00 CURRENT MEASURES <br /> <br />SECTION 2.10 DENVER WATER <br /> <br />Crestview entered into a master meter water service agreement <br />(MM236) on November 1, 1994 with the Denver Board of Water <br />Commissioners (Board) to be provided water service for all current <br />District customers and to have water furnished necessary to serve <br />the full development of all the land within Crestview's Contract <br />Service Area. In the agreement Crestview recognizes that the Board <br />will implement and update a water conservation plan in order to <br />E:p.~9J.lrage _wisE- _use_ of- .wate-r- -tchrQugho<lt- the cOmbined- -se-rvice -are-a: <br />Crestview has agreed to assist the Board in implementing and <br />maintaining the Denver Water Conservation Plan by: <br /> <br />(A.) Supporting the Conservation Plan with its customers; <br />contributing ideas and suggestions to the Board regarding <br />water conservation; encouraging the public to use low flow <br />plumbing fixtures and low water use landscaping techniques; <br />using low flow plumbing fixtures and low water use landscaping <br />techniques at its facilities whenever modifications are made <br />to such facilities; and <br /> <br />(B.) Providing to the Board any information about its water <br />distribution system which might be necessary to implement the <br /> <br />4 <br />
