<br />All water usage will be metered, measured or estimated to determine <br />unaccounted for water annually and evaluated. Usage to include <br />metered usage, District water usage, hydrant flushing, street <br />sweeping, maintenance operations, fire protection and training, <br />construction water, main breaks and leaks, miscellaneous uses and <br />fluctuation in storage tanks. <br /> <br />The District will respond to reports of water misuse and over- <br />irrigation within the District <br /> <br />The District will install water use efficient fixtures and <br />appliances at District facilities that conform to the currently <br />available technology for low flow toilets, showerheads, f1ushometer <br />valves, lavatory faucets and sink faucets that are found to be safe <br />and reliable. <br /> <br />The District will maintain membership in organizations promoting <br />wise use of water such as American Water Works Association and <br />Metro Water Conservation, Inc. <br /> <br />The District will identify major water users <br />individually, monitor and evaluate those usages. <br />evaluation and water use efficiency specific for <br /> <br />by category and <br />Refine methods of <br />high water users. <br /> <br />Determine peak-day and peak hour usage annually as well as evaluate <br />annual usage data. <br /> <br />The District will have a representative attend seminars, symposia, <br />conferences, etc., concerning water conservation and maintain <br />current information on water-use efficiency. <br /> <br />19 <br />
