<br />The researcher will have some means of verifying employment with the City, and will knock on your <br />door to notify you of his/her presence prior to entering your yard. No time will be required of you for <br />these surveys. <br /> <br />Process <br /> <br />3/15/93 - 6/1/93: Participants recruited and selected. Contracts signed and returned. <br /> <br />5/1/93 - 10/1/93: Yard surveys by researcher (one per participant). <br /> <br />9/1/93: Landscaping work completed, as per above guidelines. <br /> <br />11/93: Forms mailed to participants. <br /> <br />12/1/93 - 11/1/94: Water use monitored by Water Utility. Yard surveys by researcher (one or two per <br />participant). <br /> <br />3/94: <br /> <br />Educational literature on efficient lawn watering mailed to all participants. <br /> <br />1/31/95: <br /> <br />Study report completed. <br /> <br />What Next? <br /> <br />If you have decided against participating for whatever reason, we would appreciate your letting us know <br />so we can find another volunteer to fill your spot. You can do so by calling me at 221-6681. If I am <br />not in, please leave a message with the receptionist. <br /> <br />If you are still interested in participating, the next steps for you are: <br />.1. Sign and return the enclosed Acceptance Form as soon as possible. Please understand that we will <br />be filling the groups on a first-come, first-served basis. After receiving your Acceptance Form, we <br />will contact you to let you know if you were in the first 50 received. <br /> <br />2. Follow the above-stated guidelines for landscaping work. <br /> <br />3. As soon as your soil preparation and turfgrass sodding or seeding is completed, mail photocopies <br />of your receipts to: Jim Clark, Water Utility, P.O. Box 580, Fort Collins, CO 80522. Assuming <br />the information is complete and the guidelines have been followed, within a few weeks we will mail <br />you your check for either $25 or $100, as applicable. From that point, we will keep you informed, <br />as necessary. <br /> <br />We look forward to a successful research study and are pleased that you would like to participate.
