RESOLUTION NO. 715

A RESOLUTION OF THE GOLDEN CITY COUNCIL
AUTHORIZING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE CITY OF
GOLDEN'S WATER CONSERVATION PLAN

WHEREAS, the State of Colorado Water Conservation Act of I991(HB 91-1154) requires aU entities
that supply 2000 acre-feet of water annually for domestic /commercial water use to develop a water conservation
plan; and

WHEREAS, the City of Golden recognizes the growing need for watef conservation measures in the
semi-arid climate of Colorado in general and within the aty of Golden itself in particular; and

WHEREAS, it is a responsibility of the City of Golden to produce a safe and sufficient supply of water
that meets residential and business needs at the present rate of demand as well as to assure adequate supplies for
future uses; and

WHEREAS, this goal shall be achieved by the City by devising and implementing a plan of sound
measures that will promote and enhance water use efficiency and encourage participation in this plan by
residential and business water users.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GOLDEN,
COLORADO:

The City Council hereby adopts a Water Conservation Plan in the fonn substantially attached as Exhibit

"A".
