13.04.010 Application of chapter
prorisions.
The provisions of this chapter apply to
the installation. operation and maintenance
of all water distribution facilities under the
control of the water department. (Prior code
~ 13.04.010)

13.04.020 Definitions.
As used in this chapter. the meaning of
certain words and phrases shall be as set out
in this section:
A. "Engineer" means the citv engineer.

B. "Service lines" means the two sections
of pipe used for conveying water from the
mains to the premises of tbe water user, as
follows:
1. That section of the line installed and
maintained by the city between the main and
the curbstop or water meter, whichever is_ _ _
- --- cIOsestlotl1e property line; and" --- - - --
2. That section of the service line in-
stalled and maintained by the property owner
which is on the premises side of either the
water meter or the curb box, whichever is
closest to the property line.
C. "Specific standards" means the specifi-
cations regarding material, maintenance or
installation prepared by the city administra-
tor and approved by resolution of the city
council.
D. "Taps" means the physical connection
to a water main of a service line leading to
