'-. , , ..~ "~c....-...-..,,~~,"_...__ <br /> <br />~ityLINK . <br />:10<"" 25'; }ql", <br /> <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />In an effort to assure that the design of <br />I new park is embraced by those living <br />tear it, the City of Westminster has <br />nailed a survey to residents in the <br />;kyline Vista neighborhood in southeast <br />Nestminster <br />The survey asks neighborhood <br />:esidents to choose between two options <br />I Jroposed [or the new Skyline Vista Park, <br />",hich will be located west of Zuni Street <br />between 72nd and 74th Avenues, next to <br />Skyline Vista Elementary SchooL <br />Opposition to the Skyline Park master <br />plan, which had been developed and <br />approved at a series of public meetings, <br />surfaced at the May 20 City Council <br />meeting when resident Don Schaeffer <br />told Council that the design of the park <br />did not meet the needs of the residents. <br />Schaeffer and representatives from the <br />Perl Mack Little League d~veloped a <br />second park master plan alternative that <br />separates the proposed baseball fields <br />from other uses in the nark The City's <br />, . <br />plan integrated the ban fields with the <br />other park uses. <br />Council then directed staff to ask <br />residents which of the two plans they <br />preferred at the neighborhood's June 5 <br />Community Oriented Governance <br />meeting.
