The history will now <br />detect variation Ii'om average monthly conslUnption and alert the clerk of a possible <br />problem. i.e.,: I~ak We have noticed variations, contacted the customer of excessive usage <br />lUul problems such as leaking toi\~ts lUld faucets hnve be~n discover~d nnd repnired: <br /> <br />We also are monitoring loss in the disb'ibution system nnd will be melted ifnny <br />lesks develop. 11lis has been on-line since the system is now fillly metered. <br /> <br />The water bills are generated on postcards by the computer nnd community <br />atUlOlUlcements. including wat~r sllving tips are included on th~se bills. <br /> <br />111e computer progrnm has detect~d a possible problem with a co-op pipeline of <br />several customers outside the Town lUl(l we are currently studying taking over this co-op <br />IUld repiacing th~ pipeline to give better service to the custom~rs mId a back.up loop for <br />01U' trnnsmissionline. <br /> <br />Our customers are, to a large pm1, older p~rsons who iiV€' on fixed incomes nnd ar~ <br />savings conscious. In this resp~ct we haVE' not achieved much conservation over that <br />alr~ady in place.
