The goal of the program
is to use water more efficiently by installing water-saving
toilets, showerheads and faucet aerators.

.

Any resident of the Roaring Fork Valley is eligible to
purchase these. water-efficient devices at a speci~l discount
price. The RFEC will offer the Kohler Welfworth toilet that
uses only 1.6 gallons per flush at $110. The Spa 2001
showerhead will be available for purchase for only $12 and
faucet aerators will cost $3.00 each. You can purchase the
entire package for $125, tax included. All of these prices
are far below their retail value.

Recently, the RFEC monitored the water savings from 88 homes
that purchased these water-saving fixtures from our program.
The combined annual savings for these homes was more tha~
1,800,000 gallons of water. Further, residents reduced their
utility bills by using less hot water and the Town of
Carbondale and the City of Glenwood Springs saved money in
operating costs for their water treatment plants.

If you want to participate in the 1994 pitkin County Water
Efficiency Program, please give us a call. We will be glad
to help increase your efficient use of water and energy.

\

.

.

@ Printed on recycled paper to help conserve natural resources. @.
