This stability has not followed the national trend of declining house- <br />hold size. The average household size for Loveland is higher than in other Larimer County <br />and Colorado cities. <br /> <br />Employment <br /> <br />In 1990, the resident labor force was estimated at 14,929, Of that labor force, 28.1 per- <br />cent were employed in manufacturing, 21.9 percent in professional and related services and <br />15.8 percent in retail trade, Loveland's high percentage of employment in manufacturing, to- <br />gether with the income data, points out the success of the city in attracting high quality manu- <br />facturing jobs. <br /> <br />Table 9.
