Grant to help conserve water

LOVELAND - A $16,300 Colorado Office of Water
Conservation grant to the city of Loveland will help 500 households
tighten up their water use with conservation devices in a use
assessment program.
Volunteers will to be trained to audit homes, look for water leaks
and educate residents in the program, which is planned for this
summer, according to Laurie D'Audney, a Water Department
engineering technician who wrote the grant application.
Eventually, she said, 500 homes will be retrofitted with
water-saving devices such as more efficient shower heads,
displacement devices that will make toilets use less water, and
aerated faucet heads.

Printed in Loveland Reporter-Herald, March 20, 1992

I..,

15
