METERED
Residential Water: $5.00 for 1st 7,500 gallons EFFECTIVE APRIL 1, 1996
1.10 for each 1,000 gallons in excess of 7,500 minimum
Residential Sewer: 8.00 per month minimum sewer charge
Commercial Sewer: 8.00 per month minimum on 1st 6,000 gallons used
1.00 per 1000 gallons in excess of 6,000 gallons minimum
1. Monthly bills are due upon receipt. If not paid by 8:00 a.m. .on the 25th day of the first month
of the quarter, a $10.00 administrative fee vvill be accessed and added to the next billing. If the
entire bill is not paid by 8:00 a.m. on the 25th day of the 2nd month, another $10.00
administrative fee vvill be added to the next billing. If the entire bill is not paid by 8:00 a.m. on
the 15th day of the 3rd month of the quarter, a reminder notice vvill be sent and service vvill be
disconnected on the 25th if the entire bill is not paid. A $10.00 reconnect cht;rge vvill be collected
before sevice is resumed.
2. All charges for service are against the property and the OVoKler of the property is responsible
for arrangements for payment of these charges. Such charges shall constitute a perpetual and
continuing lien upon such property until such charges have been paid in full. (C.R.S. 32-1-
10010). It is very important that each new occupant sign for service in order to keep our records
accurate. When a final is called for, a final reading vvill be taken and the water turned off.
Service vvill not be reinstated until the account has been paid in full in cash or certified funds, not
a personal check, and the new occupant has signed for service.
3. lITigation hours shall be daylight hours only (30 minutes before sunup until 30 minutes after
sunset). Metered customers may water any day of the month including the 31st.
4. All meters must be located so as to allow free and non-hazardous access at reasonable times
for reading, removal, inspection and replacement. The entire supply of water to the premises vvill
be measured by the meter.
5. Metered water users V'kIo violale the ilTigation regulations or waste water vvill be issued a
violation ticket. A water user WlO receives three (3) violations vvithin a twelve (12) month period
shall pay a $25.00 charge for each violation after the first three. If the $25.00 charge is not paid
vvithin ten (10) days after notice, the service vvill be discontinued unlil the charge is paid. A
$10.00 reconnect fee vvill be charged for reconnection. .
6. A $15.00 fee shall be charged for all returned checks - this charge v.ill be assessed, plus any
other charge that the District incurs for handling the check.
7. When material such as concrete or other hard material is placed over Security Water lines,
water meters or curb stopos, the cost of removal shall be passed on to the property OVoKler.
Refer to Chap. 4 - Security Water District Regulations, "Service Lines". The cost of moving
vehicles to gain access shall be charged to the OVoKler.
8. SEWER ONLY ACCOUNTS! When the monthly charge is not paid by 8:00 a.m. the 25th
day of the secpod m9ntl] of the quarter, an administrative fee of $10.00 v.ill be assessed. If the
entire bill, inclUding the administrative fee, is not pa(c(by 8:00 a.m. .on the 25th day of the 3rd
month of the quarter, a fee of $75.00 shall be assessed against the property in lieu of a shut off.
9. In the event a user disputes the accuracy or amount of a billing, the user shall notify the
Districts! offices, in writing, withiii ten (10) calendai days of receipt of the billing in dispute. Any
notices of dispute received after the ten (10) day period specified vvill not be heard and the
dispute v.ill be deemed waived. A hearing v.ill be scheduled v.ith the Boards of Directors to hear
the dispute vvithin 30 days of filing the IMillen notice of dispute. A determination by the Board of
the accuracy and/or adjusted amount of the billing v.ill be final.
10. In the event any user violates any of the rules and/or regulations of the Districts, the Boards
of Directors, in addition to all other legal remedies available to them, may order the user
disconnected from the water and sanitation systems.
11. The Districts specifically reserve the right to use any and all available means to collect any
delinquent amounts owed to the Districts. This may include, but is not limited to, certifying the
delinquent amounts to the county treasurer and collecting said amounts as taxes, pursuant to
C.R.S. 32-1-1101(e).
12. We cannot give any refunds. However, in certain circumstances, we may give a credit. We
suggest that, Wlen closing on the sale or purchase of a home that all charges for water and
sewer be settled at the closing.
