All new construction is required to install water efficient fixtures according

to Government regulations. Replacement fixtures in older houses are also regulated

by government regulations,

2. We have no control over the landscaping our customers desire for their homes,

We do mandate when they can irrigate and give violation tickets and penalties

for wasting water. We are cooperating with Q builder to demonstrate water

efficient landscaping.

3, We have only two industrial customers. They both recycle their water at least

twice before it enters our waste water system.

4. The only water reuse system we operate is at the sanitation plant where they use

all non-potable water for irrigation. We are not responsible for irrigation

at parks or school properties. Our schools and parks have responded to our urging

by installing water saving devices and measuring devices. These include low

) water requirement grasses and shrubs~ night watering clocks. rain sensor controls

and ground water saturation measuring devices.

5. We have operators who constantly patrol the system looking for leaks in our

mains and customer's service lines, If we discover a leak or if customers

report a leak we repair it immediately - night or day.

6. We publis~in the local newspaper~ our regulations every week. We have on the

front. counter water leak information.

7, Copies of our water rate structures are included in this report. We would like

to install meters in all remaining unmetered houses but with the spending

limitation of Admendment One We are unable to do ao.

8. Our regulations of use and water saving techniques are limited to new construction.

We would not attempt to mandate that our customers replace their lawns with low

water grasses. We rely on State, Federal and EPA regulations and County codes

) to encourage water saving measures,

9, We do enOaurage customers to let us install a meter at our expense. We encourage
