Twenty one projects were submitted by a variety of organizations throughout the state. Six of them were selected by the OWC Block Grant Selection Committee for the full funding of $5,000. We are presently in the process of finalizing workplans and signing contracts and expect to start work later this spring. Following are the funded projects and a brief scope of work: City of Canon City: Xeriscape Demonstration Garden - xeriscape oj new municipal facility. Only xersicape demonstration site in Fremont County. Cherry Creek Valley Water & Sanitation District: WabaSh Risk/Reliability Assessment Project - evaluates the reliability of small water supply development pro- jects that apture urban runoff as a conserved replace- ment supply. Colorado State Parks - Cherry Creek State Park: Water lnigation Efficiency Upgrades - Upgrade irrigation system and demonstrate water auditing techniques. City of Golden Public WorkslCoors Ceramics: Water Use AudiVWastewater MinimizationStudy - audit of pro- cessing facilities and water use. Little Thompson Water District: Water Conservation Resources - establishes a water conservation resource section at the Berthoud Public Library. City of Westminster: Water Conservation Ed & Staff Training - increase utility staffs ability to address cus- tomer water concerns and answer questions.
