Purpose

The primary purpose of Ute Water's Conservation Plan is to promote the efficient use of water

through education, example and innovation.
Today both reliable demand and reliable supply management are integral parts of Ute
Water's planning process. The purpose of this Master Plan is to spell out a genernl direction
for efficienl water use by all of the District's customers in both the short term and the long term future.
Since ils inception, the District has promo1ed wise water use throughout its service area. The
District promotes the use of inigation water where available, and discourages use of domestic water for

irrigation.
