RESOLUTION NO. 16-98

WHEREAS, the State of Colorado has elected to award the City of Monte
Vista, Colorado, a grant to the Lariat Storm Water Drainage District, and

WHEREAS, as a condition of said grant, pursuant to CRS 37-60-126, the
City has been mandated to adopt a Water ConseNation Plan for the City of
Monte Vista, Colorado, and

WHEREAS, the city director of public works, city finance manager and the
. city manager have jointly developed a Water ConseNation Plan, attached to this
resolution and to which reference is made, and

WHEREAS, such plan has been duly published in the Monte Vista
Journal, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Monte Vista, on August
19, 1998,which pUblication solicited public input and comments upon said Water
ConseNationPlan, and .

WHEREAS, for 60 days, no comments had been received.

NOW THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved by the City Council of the City of
Monte Vista, Colorado, that the attached Water ConseNation Plan is hereby
accepted and adopted as the Water ConseNation Plan for the City of Monte
Vista, Colorado.
